A compact, wearable particle counter for real-time monitoring of individual exposure to fine particulate matter — built for worker safety, mobile surveys and closing the gap left by fixed, wall-mounted sensors.

Standard HVAC filtration and fixed room sensors cannot see transient particle events caused by operator movement or gowning failures, because these happen in the immediate working area of the process, away from wall-mounted units. PMSCAN is a compact, portable, clip-on device built around TERA Sensor's NextPM optical sensor, designed for real-time monitoring of individual exposure to PM1, PM2.5 and PM10. It is ideal for worker safety programmes, citizen science initiatives, mobility studies, or any assessment of public environments such as transportation systems.
